As the countdown to Spring begins, it’s time to reach for your runners and come along to all the outdoor events Sydney has in store for you this weekend.
Double Bay Dog Day at Guilfoyle Park

Sydney-siders and their pooches are encouraged to take part in the Double Bay Dog Day fundraising event aimed at raising awareness of the importance of adopting a pet. There are a range of fun events including a rescue dog walk, dog competitions, pet stalls, food stalls and a pop-up photo booth to capture the event.
Round She Goes Fashion Market at Marrickville Town Hall

The Round She Goes Fashion Market is held only a few times a year in Sydney and is dedicated to showcasing pre-loved women’s clothing. There are 60 amazing stalls displaying pre-loved designer labels, quality vintage fashion, as well as handmade jewellery and accessories.
The Sun-Herald City2Surf at Hyde Park

Runners of all ages and abilities will come together this weekend to take part in the iconic 14 kilometre run. The world’s largest run is truly amazing for its fundraising efforts. The Sun-Herald City2Surf walk aims to help raise $5,000,000 in 2016 for more than 550 charities. The 2016 course will start at Hyde Park and follow through the beautiful eastern suburbs – however, the course for this year has been changed to finish at the iconic Bondi Beach. Entries close 5pm Saturday!
The Australian Museum Science Festival
All weekend
The Australian Museum Science Festival celebrates local science and innovation over two massive weeks. Kicking off this weekend the event will feature talks from the leading scientists, including festival ambassador Dr Alan Duffy. The event is for all ages delivering a fun and eventful 11-day program (including multiple workshops, talks and shows) to celebrate National Science Week.
Kirribilli Markets at The Kirribilli Centre

This weekend the Kirribilli markets will host an Art, Design and Fashion Market. Featuring a variety of stalls from fashion and accessories, emerging local fashion designers, home and giftware, arts and crafts, plants and gourmet food – something for everyone.
