5 Small Bars in Manly

Small bars are becoming more and more common, and we just love it. What we love more is when you mix it with a little beach. Here's 5 you must visit in Manly.

Miss Marley’s Tequila Bar

Perfect for dates or intimate gatherings, this quirky little bar merges tastes from across Central and South America to set your tastebuds tingling. Tequila lovers will go crazy for their scrumptious array of agave based cocktails, but there’s still plenty on the menu if tequila isn’t your thing. A selection of tapas is also on offer - we recommend the croquettas and empanadas!

Hemingway’s

Relaxed is the word at Hemingway’s - a tiny hideaway overlooking Manly’s beautiful beach. The atmospheric wood panelling and books that line the walls create a quirky charm, boosted by friendly staff to make this one of the Northern Beaches’ most charismatic bars. Stroll in from the beach this summer and relax with Hemingway’s Happy Hour from 5:00-7:00pm, to enjoy the delicious tapas, cocktails, wines and local beers.

Daniel San

This beachfront gem isn’t particularly small, but has a number of delicious cocktails and a fierce range of sake. With a spacious interior, delicious drinks and a kitchen full of dumplings how could anyone resist? Not to mention the all you can eat wonton special on Wednesday nights for just $24.50!

Donny’s

Tucked away in a side street of Manly’s Corso, this little bar has a relaxed and fun atmosphere. A cage full of various alcohol bottles hang from the ceiling, alongside exposed brick walls and dozens of cocktails (mostly served in jars). The good vibes and delicious drinks are a huge attraction, but the one drawback is the amount of people crammed into the little space and spilling out onto the street, but that only goes to show just how good this bar is.

In Situ

A quirky and intimate bar with live music and great tapas, In Situ is a go-to for locals and visitors alike. The bar provides daily food specials, offering nibbles such as olives, breads, dips and beer battered fries to bigger share plates with pizzas, stuffed jalapenos and tacos. Aside from the great food and music, the cocktails are divine - we’d definitely recommend the Apple Crumble Martini, a sumptuous union of alcohol and dessert in liquid form.
