Are you up for the world's largest fun run?

More than 80,000 people are expected to lace up their running shoes and participate in the world’s largest fun run City2Surf on Sunday 12 August.

Now in its 48th year, City2Surf, voted Australia’s Best Sporting Event in 2017, is the most anticipated running event in the calendar, with the 14km course spanning from Sydney’s Hyde Park through the city’s streets, up the infamous Heartbreak Hill, along New South Head and Military Road and coming to a stunning finish on the world-renowned Bondi Beach.

City2Surf brings people from all walks of life together, including elite athletes, fun-runners, families and fundraisers, as well as thousands of spectators, to create a truly unique sense of community.

Fitness guru and Australia’s original suitor on The Bachelor, Tim Robards, is starting his preparation early as he confirms he will be running in his 6th City2Surf this year.

“The vibe along the course is always buzzing with energy and camaraderie and there’s a great sense of achievement as everyone comes together to celebrate in Bondi at the end of the race,” Tim said.

“I’m always looking for ways to challenge myself, and City2Surf is the perfect way to push your limits while having a heap of fun. I can’t wait to run alongside the massive crowds again and get my adrenaline pumping!”

City2Surf has raised more than $36 million since 2008 when the fundraising tally was first recorded. This year City2Surf aims to help raise another $5 million for more than 900 charities.
