The Best Bars To Get Laid (from a girl’s perspective)

It's always a tough ask taking that potential special someone out on a date. But don't freak out if it's your ‘first time’, we've compiled a list bars that should get you well on the way to hitting that home run.

Stitch Bar
61 York Street, Sydney

It seems like everyone who goes to Stitch Bar is on a date, and it’s not hard to understand why. The secret underground location makes it feel extra special and because there’s a lot of mood lighting and it’s not that big, you’ll have no choice but to get pretty close and intimate.

Golden Age Cinema and Bar
80 Commonwealth St, Surry Hills

Taking a girl to the movies may sound vanilla, but this art deco cinema/bar has that little something extra. They have a whole range of winter cocktails at the moment as well as a few named after your favourite blockbusters, so grab a drink and stay in the bar or head to the back row of the cinema and get cosy there. Just don’t get yourselves kicked out, that won’t get you anywhere.

Opera Bar
Sydney Opera House, Macquarie St

Is there anything more romantic than looking out at one of the most beautiful harbours in the world? It’s a classy place, so if you dress up and treat yourselves to a glass of fizz while listening to live music and overlooking the beautiful scenery, she will be putty in your hands.

The Bar at the End of the Wharf
Pier 4, Hickson Road, Walsh Bay

If you’re big fans of the theatre, this is the perfect place to go afterwards for a cheeky cocktail or two. Unfortunately, they don’t take reservations but there are plenty of corners to hide away in, or you can take a seat on the balcony and soak up the view. Plus, it’s open until late, so you can spend as long as you like there before heading home…

Manly Wine Bar
8-13 South Steyne, Manly

Whether it’s summer or winter, this place is perfect to share a bottle of wine and some good food. This is the place to take a girl who likes to keep it simple and chilled and prefers thongs over heels. If all goes well, then take her for a romantic stroll along the beach afterwards; it may sound cliché but hey, it’s effective.

P.S - This was written by a girl, so you'd be mad not to take the advice, right?
