The Botanist Kirribilli | Spring/Summer Menu Launch

The weathers heating up and so is The Botanist Kirribilli, launching their new Spring/Summer menu designed by recently appointed head chef Mark Williamson (formerly Head Chef at the Bayswater Diner in Kings Cross).

The menu is perfect for sharing with friends on long hot sunny days, and includes dishes such as crab hush puppies with Louie sauce; sashimi kingfish crudo with chives, avocado and jalapeno; haloumi with cauliflower tabouleh; Potato gnocchi, braised cherry tomatoes, basil, ricotta and walnuts, and of course the old favourites – taco’s, sliders and pizza’s - remain but with some fresh new flavours to choose from!

The restaurant’s name references illustrious Botanist Gerard Fothergill who travelled the world researching plants, and whose last years of his life were spent running a small bookshop in the very building the restaurant now occupies.

The Botanist pays homage to these historical and botanical themes of exploration and discovery, creating food and cocktail menus using abundant offerings of locally sourced fresh produce, herbs and spices which are available during the Spring/Summer season.

The Botanist perfectly caters to its surrounds perfectly and is Kirribilli’s first small bar and restaurant. Combining the historical with the modern to create a winning formula, The Botanist continues to bring some much needed spice to the local area.
