Black Star Pastry will be turning Aussie icons into mouth-watering treats until Thursday 24 May – try a fruity Dame Edna, delicious Chris Hemsworth, a sharp and strong Bob Hawke, as well as a pancake immortalising the foxy ladies from Kath & Kim, just to name a few.

Christopher Thé Owner of Black Star pastry Christopher Thé said the team is excited to be bringing some of Australia’s famous faces to a plate near you.

“We have been busy in the kitchen testing out different batters, flavour combinations and perfecting the faces of Australia’s favourite celebrities,” he said.

“We want to make sure we capture all of their loveable charms in edible and delicious form so we have practiced by sketching each Aussie celebrities face until we got it right.”

As part of the partnership, CSR Sugar is providing their Specialty Sugars including; CSR Rapadura Unrefined Sugar and CSR Coconut Sugar to Black Star Pastry. The sugars will be used to make up the batter as well as add to the unique flavour of the pancakes.

All proceeds from the pancakes go to the Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
