Hanging Out With UK's Stööki Sound

Stööki Sound have made 2015 their year to take their avant-garde twist bass music all around the world. From touring with Dillon Francis in the UK, to a 25-date Infinity Tour, hitting Winter Music Conference, Euphoria Music Festival and Coachella parties, the road warriors now have their eyes set on Australia and New Zealand.

Not only are they hitting the stage as headliners, in their taste of diversity, they’ll also be doing a handful of dates with SOL REPUBLIC Saviours of Sound, Peking Duk and producers Loadstar, Caspa, and Crnkn!

You are not only masters of music but so to clothing and Jewelry, can you tell us about how you got in to these areas?

Stööki began in 2011 with its founders having different skills sets within fashion, art and music so we have been working on multi-disciplinary projects from day one. Sound, Vision and Play are the core three elements of Stööki. On the fashion side of things we recently designed a collection for the Selfridges London department store.

Are there any other areas you would like to branch into?

We are focusing on the three elements of Stööki - Sound, Vision and Play and progressing them and pushing them forward.

What are you most looking forward to when you hit Sydney?

Definitely want to swing by the Opera House and hold a koala.

You have toured pretty extensively in recent times do you have a favourite city or country to play?

Some favourites so far would be the US, France, Ukraine. We love travelling and playing in new places. It’s exciting when we don’t know what to expect.

You will be playing with Peking Duk and producers Loadstar, plus much more, are you looking forward to touring with these guys?

Yeah for sure! It’s always fun to travel with artists you like, it’s good to share the journey and chill together when you have downtime.

What new music are you working on at the moment?

We’ve been working on some V.I.Ps of our biggest tunes specially to play at our live shows. We have our collab track with Troyboi called W2L, which will be out soon. Our remix of The Weekend ’The Hills’ has done really well so expect some more remixes from us soon.

What else do you have in store for 2015?

We have got a lot of new music on the way! We will be playing live shows around Europe and heading back to the US at the end August to play some festival dates.
