New look for Salvos store

St Peters Salvos Store in Tempe is undergoing a revamp to give its customers a more satisfying experience when they shop.

The unveiling will take place on Monday 14 May, with activities in-store throughout that week, more checkouts to reduce delays, additional dressing rooms and a Salvos Street Boutique added as an exciting new element to the store.

The Salvos Street Boutique encourages fashion savvy, budget conscious consumers to shop at their local Salvos Stores and discover affordable fashion, while helping the community and the environment.

Well known stylists Alla Moda Image and Style Studio will be curating the boutique for the relaunch week, combining ever popular vintage and pre-loved styles with current modern on trend pieces, and the interior is built utilising second hand fixtures. Not only does shopping at the boutique save the consumer money and provide them with a one of a kind fashionable look, it's much kinder to the planet.

The week-long festivities include free styling sessions and personal shopper tips on Monday, and a fashion parade hosted and curated by eco stylist and TV fashion commentator Faye De Lanty on Saturday. Looks will include classic/timeless pieces reinvented and Autumn/Winter fashions, and Faye will be in store after the parade to chat and provide her expertise

Salvos Stores has been helping struggling families and individuals for more than 130 years, raising millions of dollars to support The Salvation Army.

Pre-loved and recycled furniture, clothing and goods are donated to the stores and then sorted and checked before being distributed free of charge to those in need through The Salvation Army’s network of Community Service Centres, with the remainder being offered for sale through Salvos Stores, with all profits going towards vital Salvation Army programs to assist people in need.
