No Shnit Sydney...are these Sydney's Best?

No schnit...we’ve found Sydney’s best schnits.

Una’s Restaurant - 340 Victoria St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010

Their home-style menu is renowned throughout the streets of Sydney as the best, and biggest, Schnittys on officer. Inspired by the foods and flavours of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Hungary, this popular Darlinghurst restaurant boats European recipes and methods that result in the highest quality and taste, prepared daily with the freshest ingredients. To complete your dining experience, they also serve a range of imported beers and spirits, including their famous schnapps.

La Boheme - Stonemason’s Cottage at 199 Glebe Point Road, Glebe

The La Boheme in Glebe is a popular European style restaurant started by a few Czechs way back when. Although their menu is extensive the schnitzel is the real ‘wiener’ here. If you like your serves big then head for the Schnitzel Platter ($29.00 for one or $58.00 for two) - chicken, pork, veal schnitzel with mushroom sauce & cranberry chutney, served with mash potato, thyme baby beetroot, creamy brussels sprout & mix garden salad.

Austrian Schnitzel House -12 Waters Lane
 Neutral Bay

Home to the famous ‘1kg Schnitzel Challenge’ with the fastest time record currently set at 7.5 mins. Not only do you have to eat this 1kg beast but you also have to down 1L of beer or soft drink. If you are not game, then rest assured there is a wide selection of smaller schnitzel options that range from Hawaiian to Swiss and much, much more.

Löwenbräu Keller - Playfair St, The Rocks NSW 2000

As Sydney’s most popular and authentic Munich-style restaurant, the Löwenbräu Keller offers epic Shnitz and quality imported biers – all in a traditional bier-hall environment complete with staff in costume. We can highly recommend the Löwenschnitzel -  Löwenbräu’s giant pork schnitzel, served with french fries and herb mayonnaise!

The Goni's Schnitzelria - 296 Marrickville Rd, Marrickville

Finally, home to Sydney’s biggest shnit, this inner west hot spot serves up monsters that you’ll probably have to see to believe. Words don’t do it justice.
