Q Station Open Day

Q Station is one of Australia's most compelling and unique heritage retreats, preserved within 30 hectares of Sydney Harbour National Park at North Head. Set on Sydney's glorious harbour, it is just 35 minutes from central Sydney and 5 minutes from Manley Beach. As Australia's first and oldest Quarantine Station, it operated from 1833 to 1984. With 65 buildings and several archeological sites today, it remains an important part of Australia's migrant history. 

The ever-popular annual Community Open Day at Q Station Manly is back on Sunday, 20 September with a heap of activities for everyone to have a great day out.

Held in the wharf and hospital precincts, friends and family groups can spend the day enjoying different activities that are unique to the beautiful heritage grounds of Q Station.

Explore historical buildings, get spooked with a ghost tour, learn more with a history tour, kayak at beautiful Spring Cove, tantalise tastebuds with cooking demonstrations by Ambassador Chef Matt Kemp, race around to stop the ‘Outbreak’ activity, face-paint diseases and relax with live music.

In addition, several talks and presentations as well as exhibitions will be held for those keen on nature, wildlife and history. An array of stalls as well as food & drinks will be available for those wanting a casual walkabout.
