Royal Botanic Garden’s newest craze

From the creators of Sydney’s famous ‘giant deep-fried Nutella ice-cream ball’, Piccolo Me is back again with another hit! To celebrate the cafe opening at the Royal Botanic Garden, the cafe invents its newest craze ‘Choco Mintolo’ - a decadent minty hot chocolate, topped with crushed Oreos, ice-cream and rich hot chocolate sauce.

Opened in 2012 by Charlie and Roy El Hachem, the cafe provides a quality boutique feel complementing its unique blend of coffee and innovate food creations. The menu's most popular items include the Cheeseburger Croissant and Fried Maltella, which attracted a national interest and created a die-hard foodie fan base.

If you're ever in the neighbourhood, make sure you drop in and try the Cookiegato, a Nutella cookie topped with a scoop vanilla ice-cream and the side of espresso; World’s Largest Fried Ice-cream, one litre of Nutella and vanilla ice-cream topped with crushed Maltesers and a warm salted caramel sauce syringe; Cookies and Cream Shake, a mega shake topped with Cadbury Flakes; Brogato, a warm chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream, double ristretto coconut shavings, popping candy and crushed peanut M&Ms; or The Hashman, an indulgent breakfast tower of eggs, bacon and golden hash browns on a delish brioche bun.

The Piccolo Cafe at the Royal Botanic Garden is the 12th shop to open up in the chain, with locations also at Macquarie University, Crows Nest and Bridge Street in the CBD.

Garden visitors can enjoy Sydney’s most beautiful attraction and have the opportunity to try the unique taste offerings from Piccolo Me. Located at the Palace Gates, adjacent Macquarie Street, visitors can enjoy a quick lunch, treat or coffee while exploring the much-loved Sydney landmark. To make your Royal Botanic Garden experience more enjoyable, Piccolo Cafe is a must!
