Up with the sun? Head to the Opera House

Sunrise on the Steps, the Sydney Opera House’s much-loved morning exercise program, returns from Tuesday 13 March to Friday 18 May.

The 10-week program, which follows a sold-out 2016 trial, will offer 7.00am classes in Circuit Training (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and Yoga (Wednesdays and Fridays).

Classes will be led by a team of local professional trainers including Crawf Weir, Janis Blums and Adam Trama and are suitable for all fitness levels, at the affordable price of $25 per person.

For the first time, the exercise program will fuse fitness with technology, offering participants the chance to trial Samsung’s Gear Sport to experience how technology can track and improve the way we work out.

Jade McKellar, Sydney Opera House Director of Visitor Experience, said Sunrise on the Steps is an entirely new way for Sydneysiders and tourists to experience the city.

“I can’t think of a more spectacular way to start the day than on the steps of the Opera House as the city comes to life around you,” she said.

“March is the perfect time to reignite New Year’s wellbeing resolutions and find focus at the start of the day in one of Sydney’s most inspiring and breathtaking locations.”

Class participants will have the chance to win the stylish, waterproof and Android/IOS compatible Samsung Gear Sport to help them continue to track their progress and reach their exercise goals.

Classes are conveniently located in the CBD, with $10 flat rate on parking at the Sydney Opera House Wilson Car Park offered exclusively to attendees (exit before 10am). Book online here.
