Enjoy a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner along the waterfront at Anason. Graze on modern Turkish starters including sesame simit with whipped kopanisti cheese; and Circassian chicken pate with crisp paprika pita. Then, move on the main event including duck borek with tkemali plum sauce; and lamb fillet with Jerusalem artichoke tarator. End on a sweet note with a special Valentine’s Turkish mess dessert.
Nel Restaurant, Sydney
If you’re looking to “wow” your date, celebrate Valentine’s Day with a playful British-inspired seven-course degustation at Nel in Surry Hills. Head chef Nelly Robinson draws on Australian produce and serves his take on bubble and squeak; the classic sausage roll; and fish and chips, just to name a few. Finish off the feast with rice pudding and trifle, the perfect end to a romantic night in the candlelit basement of Nel.
Efendy serves a four-course Turkish menu this Valentine’s Day. Indulge in dishes including mustard marinated kingfish; scallops with borlotti beans; and lamb shank with beetroot kisir. The Tudor Hotel offers a special menu including a shared entrée and dessert for lovers this Valentine’s Day. Start with a grazing plate of charred corn, pork belly bites and rosemary beef skewers ($18) followed by a trio of house made strawberry, peach and mango sorbets ($12). Pair this with the Gin Basil Smash cocktail ($16): Hendricks gin with citrus and a huge helping of fresh basil, and you’ll have a night to remember.
