Wonderland is back!

Developed in 1985, Wonderland was one of the biggest attractions of gen X and Y’s childhood, and now we can share that memory with our children thanks to the help of one major stakeholder.

Since its closing in 2004, self-made millionaire property developer Ammar Khan of Urban Estate Developments Pty Ltd, has been motivated to put the NSW government’s plan to resurrect the Wonderland project into fruition with a billion-dollar cash injection.

Now launched as Worlds of Wonder, the project is set to place Western Sydney as the nation’s top theme park destination upon it’s completion in 2021.

The Worlds of Wonder precinct plan proposes primary attractions and rides, and an extensive water fun park and wildlife park. Further to this, the plan proposes secondary facilities such as a state-of-the-art bowling alley, cinemas and an ice skating rink.

And if that’s not enough there will also be a choice of hotels and motels to suit all budgets, as well as restaurants with all sorts of different cuisines available including a number of take-away options. There will also be public parks and a nightlife scene for all ages.

The plan will ensure that the tourism sector will be brought back to Western Sydney ensuring employment, business and a whole lot of fun!

Looking towards the future, the park is said to integrate technology in new and innovative ways. This will include Wi-Fi access, queuing technology and opportunities for guests to interact with the park via social media channels in real time.
