Vivid Sydney 2014

Vivid Sydney is set for it’s largest program of light, music and ideas in its six-year history. It’s the biggest festival of its kind in the southern hemisphere; over 800,000 people visited last year and over $20million was injected into NSW

In 2014, the organisers are keen to top that.

This year, for the first time, Sydney Harbour will join in like never before. Don’t miss the Harbour Lights – ferries and vessels will be decked out in LED lights, their colours on show as they cruise through our awesome harbour.

There’s a new CBD precinct in Martin Place, with giant lights and a 3D face projector so you can take the ultimate selfie. Along with new Vivid programming at Carriageworks, the Seymour Centre, Sydney University and The Basement, 2014 will take the event and its music content into more locations than ever before.

Vivid Music will feature some of the worlds most famous and influential artists, with the likes of The Pet Shop Boys and Lauren Hill performing. There will also be a featured cross-over gig via a collaboration between the Australian Chamber Orchestra and The Presets.

Vivid Ideas is becoming bigger and bigger. Included in the amazing lineup of speakers is none other than Flume and his manager Nathan Mclay. They will be part of the new In Conversations series, which brings together creative minds to explore motivations, challenges and learning’s that mold their creative careers.
