What's On: Sydney Markets
Winding down after a busy start to the year (its already nearing March!) we have collated a great selection of markets to explore and venture to on your weekend. Varying from clothing to organic produce and everything in between, the market scene offers some unique homemade products and a great atmosphere. The following are scattered throughout different corners of Sydney.
Corner of Derby Pl and Glebe Pt. Rd, Glebe
A regular edition to Glebe Public School, Glebe Markets have an awesome assortment of second hand clothing, jewellery, leather goods and diverse food stands. The stall occupants are friendly and love a chat, making it a great place for a stroll on a Saturday morning. Grab a coffee and try the Paella if you are a fan!
Corner of, Balmain Rd and Perry St, Lilyfield
Love organic, pesticide free, local farmers produce? Then take a drive to Rozelle (earlier the better to get first pick!) and grab your groceries for the week! Also sporting various home wares stores, Orange gGove is especially great for gifts like oils, jams and scented candles.
245 Wilson St, Eveleigh
Located at the beautiful, old rail yards at Carriageworks, the Eveleigh Farmers Markets is famous for its organic and bio-dynamic produce. The fruit and veggies are reasonably priced and the food stands are absolutely delicious. Also great for health food supplies such as home made fermented foods.
Bondi Beach Public School, Campbell Parade
Conveniently located two minutes from the beach, Bondi Markets have two different facades over the duration of the weekend. Saturday is food, flowers and fresh produce and Sunday is beautiful clothing, accessories and jewellery. Either one you are sure to find some new additions to your home or wardrobe and have your taste buds squealing for more. Great for a wander and a browse before heading to the beach for a swim!
395 Oxford St, Paddington
A unique group of designers and artists flock to Paddington every Saturday morning. What a great assortment they have to offer in one of Sydney’s well-known fashion focused suburbs. A beautiful location to explore instead of the shop-to-shop and online shopping routines we have grown so accustomed to. Originally home to famous brands such as Dinosaur Designs, you are sure to find new, inspiring designs and treats to spice up your weekend!
